Sometimes customers consult us regarding very special problems, no commercially available standard software package can handle satisfyingly. In those cases, our simulation experts develop new advanced simulation methods suited for specific problems and which are made for being integrated in already existing CAE-workflows. This can be done for instance by linking different standard simulation tools via appropriate interfaces. Alternatively, standard software can be expanded by adding special functionalities. This is done by programming scripts, subroutines, or entire programmes by using multiple programming languages suiting the specific task.
The behaviour of some materials can be influenced by various kinds of production technologies
. A well-known example is the anisotropic material behaviour of fibre-reinforced materials which depends on the fibre orientation influenced by the applied production process. Hence, linking a process simulation
with any kind of advanced simulations can increase the accuracy of predictive engineering significantly.
