FiberCore has installed successfully the first composite lock gates with the aid of the simulations of Code Product Solutions. The lock gates had been commissioned by the provinces of Drenthe and Groningen, who reinstate a canal. The lock gates of composite material InfraCore® Inside are a Dutch innovation in a Dutch setting, and are receiving a warm welcome in the civil engineering world.

InfraCore® lock gates are lightweight and can therefore be easily handled. The composite can be coupled simply to the steel hinges. The composite gates have an extremely long life span and, unlike traditional steel or timber gates, are insensitive to corrosion and decay. Structural maintenance is therefore not required.

Christopher Lynch will begin his career at Code Product Solutions at february 15th. Christopher has a master degree in Aerodynamics and studied at TU Delft. He will directly service our customers in the west of the Netherlands on behalf of Code being settled in Amsterdam. Also his expertise will enhance our capabilities in Computational Fluid Dynamics projects.

We have ended a busy year with lot's of interesting projects bringing us and our customers to a higher technical level. We are again motivated at the fresh start of 2012 to continue working on our current projects and starting up new developments.
